Murad Sawalmeh earned his PhD in Linguistics from the University of Huddersfield, UK. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Translation at the Department of Languages and Translation, Dhofar University (Salalah, Oman). He has been teaching English for over thirteen years. During this period, he taught different linguistics and translation courses. Sawalmeh has written various research papers on sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, error analysis, as well as a textbook for Arabic speaking students, “English Grammar for all Levels” (2007). His areas of research interest include translation, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, genre analysis and applied linguistics. Moreover, he participated in many conferences in the United Kingdom, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
